C2 Crawley Sports and Leisure Facility
Job Description
Working for Gleeson construction on one of the largest leisure and sports facilities in the UK, Pica Floorings were asked to provide a fully sprung timber flooring meeting the highest BCEN standard to their Judo dojo and 2500m² main sports hall.
As such, the floor was fitted using the Uno bat 50 undercarriage with a High Performance Delta Membrane. This provides a total construction height of only 50mm designed for installation over flat, level sub-floors, The system comprises of a 22mm press dried beech board secretly nailed to a veneered softwood batten, which has a unique arrangement of specially developed rubber strips on the underside.
This provided spring resiliency and shock absorbing qualities that are required for sports and dance use to minimise injury from high impact activities.
